ChoisTechnology Co., Ltd.(x-pointer.com) won an injunction against Tangram Design Lab(tangramdesignlab.com)  for Smart Dot smartphones laser pointer.

ChoisTechnolgoy Co., Ltd. X-pointer mobile was the first company to have developed a presenter and App for smartphones using the audio jack in Korea.

Tangram approached to ChoisTechnology and entered into an agreement with ChoisTechnology to develop a product “Smart Dot” under an OEM partnership.

After having obtained confidential information relating to engineering, mechanical and software specification from ChoisTechnology, Tangram terminated the agreement with ChoisTechnology. They took the confidential specifications to another manufacturer to rush a product to market and applied for patents based on that technology.

ChoisTechnology brought a lawsuit seeking an injunction of trade secret infringement before the Seoul Central District Court. On October 29^th 2012, the Seoul Central District Court in Korea rendered the decision in favor of ChoisTechnology granting an injunction against Tangram and Smart Dot. These products are prohibited from being sold, imported, exported or promoted.
